Default Pics of Stinger's install

Here's a few pics of Jim and I Installing my Stingers:

Funny thing was he didn't mind me taking a dinner break.

I didn't like having the car up in the air like this, but it was worth it knowing Jim could catch it before it landed and did any damage.

Mike, how do they sound? Is there much interior resonance?
I had Flowmaster on my '88 and it was pretty noisey inside the cabin at the lower rpms.

Oops...never mind, I didn't see your other post!!

I am concerned about the resonance / noise at 30-50 mph and 70-80. Is it so loud you hear it over the radio at a normal volume?

They produce a nice little rumble when you start the car up in the morning, nothing obnoxious. Under light acceleration, they make a nice deep throaty sound, but it's still not very loud. Under full throttle they make some noise, but don't get that loud until after 4K RPM's, then they roar.

I have NO resonance in 6th while cruising, or at any other time, under a medium load in 6th, they make a light rumble, but it's not so loud to drown the radio. I know what resonance is, and there is NONE.

The idle sound is meaty, and WOT is deep and muscular, and cruising is quiet. In fact at 70, just cruising, they are almost as quiet as stock.

My only gripe is some gurgling/slight poping under decelleration, and between shifts, and even that is not anything to write home about. I'd try an Xpipe, but I don't want to change the tone.

All in all, I think these things get a little over exaggerated, they are not that loud, only at WOT and high revs are they loud.

I like em.

Anyone wanting to hear them, let me know and we'll hook up.

Good trick, but you're 19 days overdue! No we all know why you always wore that red cape? You were really trying to conceal why you were faster than a speeding bullet! (50th Anniversary...uh huh) :jester
