Go-Kart racing in San Diego

My first post.

A few of us are getting together to race go-karts next week. It is much better than the old Malibu Grand Prix.

We will "check-in" at the racing facility at Noon and race at 12:30 on Sunday, April 25, 2004.

One ten minute race will cost $23 each. If we have at least ten people, the price goes down to $20 each. There are coupons in the paper for cheaper.

If we have enough people, we will separate into a "men's" group and a "women's" group. So, if any of you guys are afraid that a woman might beat you (and my wife is fast), encourage others to participate so that we can have two groups.

I did this with a few other Forum guys (George, where are you?) about 6-8 months ago.. It is an absolute BLAST - especially driving in a group of other good drivers! If you get enough people (I think it was 8 or 10), you get the track to yourself (I think they call it a Gran Prix or something).

I'm going out of town all week but may be back in time to join you.

We brought the whole crew from work down there, two fridays' ago. It really was a great time. We went three races, taking a ten minute breather between them. Need it!

I'll definitely go again.

Looks like we will have around 10-12 so we will get the track to ourselves and the cheaper price. :hurray:

Man, I won't get out of church in time to make it by 12:30.
Besides, they wouldn't let me take my Corvette on the track, I'm sure...
