Spots Still Open At TracQuest DE Event At Buttonwillow This Coming Weekend!
Greetings Corvette Forum members! Trying to figure out what to do this weekend? Spots are still open at TracQuest's DE event at Buttonwillow this Saturday and Sunday. The weather is looking good and the event will be nowhere near full, meaning tons of high quality, low traffic track time for everyone. Many Corvette Forum members from both coasts have run at TracQuest events so they're well known to your community. Here are the high points:
- At least 5 hours of track time over the course of both days;
- Longest possible 3.0 mile track configuration (Race #1 clockwise)
- You can run for either day or both days;
- Top instructors from many different DE and racing organizations with a one to one instructor/student ratio for all novice and intermediate drivers;
- Car control (lift and catch) exercise on skidpad;
- Less restrictive passing rules in two higher run groups to facilitate traffic flow;
- Gourmet food at track and Saturday night banquet included;
- TracQuest is not marque-limited so all cars are welcome; most common cars attending are Porsches, BMW's, Ferraris, Corvettes, Vipers, etc.
- No special safety equipment required other than a helmet, which can be borrowed from TracQuest at no charge if desired;
- Convertibles without roll bars are welcome but due to new insurance requirements can only run in the novice group;
- Non-participant passengers are welcome but also due to new insurance requirements, all non-instructor passengers can only go out with an instructor driving;
- Passenger rides available (free) in a Radical SR3 (many will be there), an incredible closed wheel, open cockpit, 2-seat race car.
For information and/or to register, visit the TracQuest web site at http://www.tracquest.com. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via email at tserota@tracquest.com or by phone at (310) 798-2004. If notice is too short, the next So. Cal. event will be at Willow Springs on the weekend of May 22-23. I hope to see you out there!
