Hey..Where do you guys & gals go in the East Bay..Concord Martinez area to get your Vette Serviced.I've had night mares at Parker Robb Walnut Creek. Fitzpatrick in Concord is ok, but not that good. What do you think...any help? THanks...Crocettman
Re: The Best East-Bay C5 Service Dealership? (Crockettman)
Don't worry about Parker-Robb since I understand that the local Caddy dealer is buying them out and moving everything up the street. I be taken my
Corvette to Fitzpatrick since Mike Kellog now works there.

Here is a quote from one of the local guys about Parker Robb... it ws a while back as you can see from the date of the post.

Hey Jetski... what ever happened with that situation? Did you get it resolved?

Tiger Shark
Parker Robb Chevrolet Walnut Creek Calif refused to pay $125 damaged wheel repair bill. HRE wheel was damaged while having service at Parker Robb Chevrolet
My only option was to take Parker Robb Chevrolet to court. For $125 I did not feel the time was worth the effort.
Anytime I see Parker Robb Chevrolet posts. I make sure and post, what crap customer service I received from Parker Robb.

Wow, that is news to me. When did Mike leave?
Herb,
I'm not sure when he left, but he is gone.
He started there out of High School over 20 years ago.
Another small town dealer get sucked up by the big boys on the block.

Ray,
Linda just told me that Stead is buying Parker Robb and that the location is being torn down for a high rise building. Guess I'll be off to Fitzpatrick for my servicing...

Well that sucks. Mike was the guy that handled my car both times I had it in to Parker Robb. The last time I checked, Fitzpatrick didn't even sell Corvettes. Has that changed?
When I had my Jeep Gr. Cherokee, I took it to Michael Stead a few times and got very good service from them. Much better than Antioch Toyota/Jeep. Perhaps the Chevy dealership will be the same.

Although I purchased my car from Mario at Parker Robb, and they will probably continue to have the largest Corvette allocation after Anderson when they become part of Stead, I will have to follow Mike Kellogg for my servicing...
Re: The Best East-Bay C5 Service Dealership? (4DCYKEY)
I know a couple of guys that work for the Stead group. Stead tends to attract mechanics that work fast as they pay their wrenches by the job instead of by the hour. The more they can beat the flat rate the more money they can make. Of course if business happens to be slow, even the fastest can see their paycheck shrink. While good wrenches are usually fast, fast ones are not necessarily good.
Re: The Best East-Bay C5 Service Dealership? (Crockettman)
I have had crappy service at both dealers. The service writers at Parker Robb are idiots. I've got some warranty issues(warning lights, heater display, seat memory and the fuel tank guage- 3 times) I need to deal with but I really don't want to go back to either dealer. I may take it back to Fitzpatrick and try this Mike Kellogg service tech. that everyone is talking about. I did complain about all the problems to GM and I have been in touch with Carol Hazel at Chevrolet cac@chevrolet.com I suggest if you guys have had the trouble I have had, send her a email. Maybe it'll help down the road.
