[EVENT] CF NATIONAL DRAG RACING EVENT! Sacramento, CA
Come on out to Sacramento Raceway and run the 1/4 mile in your Corvette.
All fastest times will be turned into the CF to compete in the National competition. Racing starts at 6:00 so be there an hour before so you can tech your car and get in line to run. Please sign up on this thread so I know who is going to participate. :) For website info and directions, go to http://www.sacramentoraceway.com

Car/Driver: $35 - Spectators: $10
All vehicles must be fully muffled street machines.
Mufflers must limit noise to 90 decibels at 50 feet at full throttle.
Basic Requirements
All drivers must have a valid state driver's license.
All vehicles must pass a basic NHRA ET Bracket safety inspection. For a full listing of requirements, consult an NHRA Rulebook.
A single co-driver is permitted in vehicles running slower than 14.00 seconds. Co-drivers must be at least 16 years old and must sit in the front seat.
All drivers and co-drivers must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops).
SFI approved helmets are required for all vehicles running quicker than 14.00 seconds.
Significant additional requirements including but not limited to a roll bars and driver's jackets are required for vehicles quicker than 12.00 seconds.

Blown Z06 (S/C z06, heads, cam, Drag tires... should be fast!! )

This date of 9/6 is actually the last saturday night that will be available until November!! The rules at Sac have also changed for street legal cars... they have the choice of limiting any street legal car to 3 runs... :cry This grudge night is unlimited runs for street vehicles... DO YOUR BEST TO ATTEND THIS EVENT!! (that includes you too Dax) ;)

Can't make it. Bummer. I've never driven an official 1/4 track (or any track for that matter) It would have been alot of fun.
Q:? I notice that there is a helmet requirement for cars under 14. What's a bone stock LT1 w/6speed run? I'm an OK driver - mostly back and forth to work. (angle: do I need a helmet?)
