Gary Combs wins his first West Coast Corvette Challenge!

Gary Combs, one of our newer drivers, won his first ever West Coast Corvette Challenge today and also stopped the C4 guys from making it six races in a row for the season!

I will leave the details to Gary and others but it was quite a race day. The temperature topped out at 101* and the DA was somewhere around the altitude of Mt. Everest but the track conditions were excellent. Many reported new best 60' times and some even reported new best e.t.'s in this high-desert inferno!

As always, many thanks to all who help to make our events run so well - including Beach, Steve Cool, Mike Villeneuve, Paul Flores, and the rest of our volunteers who pitch in with setting up and breaking down the registration area.

We will be taking off for the month of August so some of us can go beat up on Fords but we will be resuming our first full season of racing on September 14th. at LACR.

Again, congratulations to Gary Combs who did a a very good job on improving his dials and reaction times!

CalVette - many thanks for your kind words. Please come on out whenever you want - a great nucleus of old and new racers has been forming in the last year. Our next event is on Sunday, September 14th.
