Head Count Needed for Corvette Corral at ALMS Race at Infineon
Head Count Needed for Corvette Corral at ALMS Race at Infineon (Sears Point)
We need to let Chevrolet know how many people will be showing up on Sunday. If you or your club are going please post the number of people so we can give them an idea of how many of us are going to be there.
"adamsocb" forwarded the following message from Chevrolet;
Everything is set for the corral in Sears Point. The hospitality area
will
be open on Sunday July 27th @ 8:30 am as usual. There will be no charge
for
parking this year. Just drive your corvette to the corvette corral and
you
will be allowed to park in that area. A schedule will be posted once you
arrive to the tent area.
Thanks for your interest and support. Be sure to tell all of your friends
in the corvette club they are welcome. If you have any idea how many
members you have that will be attending send me a quick e-mail. That
always
helps me in planing the food for the event.

I'll be there for the weekend too. Should I respond directly to "adamsocb", to this thread or...?
:seeya
I'd post to the thread for now, since adamsocb is just getting home from a big time fishing trip up North. I'm sure he'll be posting in a day or so himself.
Re: Head Count Needed for Corvette Corral at ALMS Race at Infineon (Wrencher)
I had a problem getting up the hill a few years back but the last two they just sent us towards the Corral. On Friday and Saturday we have always just parked in or near the Sunday Corral location. Every year is a little different so we'll see. I'll be there Friday and Saturday and will post any information I can find about the Sunday Corral.
For the record I have nothing to do with the Corral. I'm only passing on the information of what I've been told is going to take place.
Bring your Corvette, Chairs, Cooler, Scanner, Camera, and ear plugs and cheer the C5-R on. :hurray:
Re: Head Count Needed for Corvette Corral at ALMS Race at Infineon (CALVette)
Here is an update on the corral location and timing from the Chevy promoter:
Quote:
The Corvette Corral will be the same location that it was last year. Just above turn 3. I will open the tent @ 8:30 and will serve lunch @ 11:30am. The race starts @ 1pm.
As for the count, just reply to this post.
Hopefully we won't need to do any civil flood control work this year!
Re: Head Count Needed for Corvette Corral at ALMS Race at Infineon (CALVette)
I will be working in the corral area as one of up to three raceway track ambassadors, as well as bringing my C-3. We basically provide support and information for fans and vendors that attend the events, so if this info is something that would be helpful to the Chevy guys, pass it along. I will arrive at the track at 7:00 AM on Sunday for a meeting, and be up at the corrals at about 7:45. We don't get any special parking passes, but I'm assuming that I'll be able to just drive up. See 'ya there!
Re: Head Count Needed for Corvette Corral at ALMS Race at Infineon (Wrencher)
Hans, last year we had to drive around the whole track to get to the Corral and my guess is it will be the same this year. You had to drive past the main gate and go up a long road to get into the track. I think they had us come in this way to keep cars from backing up and blocking the highway. See ya next weekend.

I'll be there too  There will be 3 of us. I have a Black C-5.
I was just there last Wednesday for the drags. So if you can provide any info where I need to go in at, Tickets, gate # would be great. I'll be coming in on Hwy 116 from Santa Rosa. How early can we get in too. Thanks, Rick.
