Default Check out this ricer Dodge Dart!

It has a wing on the FRONT!! :D Mopar guys are funny.

Those of you in SoCal might recognize Tom's work area. The car in question is a vintage Dodge Dart drag that turns 11 second quarters. The wing belongs to a large scale model racer that is faster than your C5 (try 218 MPH) and will pull 20Gs!

I wish I had a pic, but it'll be painted MY with a checkered flag motiff in front. Tom's old racer had that with Red and it was SHARP! :yesnod:

I had forgotten that the Dart name was on the bigger Dodges. I associate the name Dart with the Dodges from 1963 forward when they became more compact. That looks like a 1962 Dodge, if memory serves me right.

You mean the wing is supposed to be someplace else? I always heard that down force was good, so...... Car is a 62, weighs 2975 Lbs.

Airplane weighs 29 lbs.... must be why it's so fast!

How about taking the engine off the plane, bolting it to the back of the car, reversing the prop pitch, and getting an additional 20 HP? :yesnod:

Last night I sat in the car and practiced in the garage, but I need some full power fortification before trying that on the road. What an amazing thing to experience that when you've never seen it done right.

Tom on the way home, I pulled off to the road, let the rev hit to 4000rpm and let the clutch out and gave it gas :jester , and of course with Competitive driving on, MAN!!! I had some serious tire and rear end spin :D . that was fun, I launched awesome, but some drags would keep it straight of course.

Next the power shifting. :steering: :auto:

If 4000 seems to create to much wheel spin, try 3500 or 3000. A little practice and you'll be getting those 1.8 60' times
