A Must Read .... Caravan Experience....The rest of the story
|
For you that may have heard, our 2003 Milestone Convertible was broken into at a Marriott Parking Garage in Salt Lake City. They broke the passenger window and took the V1, and all small electronics (CB, camera, 4" TV, etc). It was so dishearting to know our new baby was violated. Then along came the return call at 4 am from the Utah Caravan captain who instructed us to be at the E-Center at 5 am prior to the caravan departure, he in turn contacted Debbie at Gus Paulos Chevrolet. (To make matters worse, it started raining, so a cardboard window was made for the trip from downtown to e-center). As we stood in the rain watching 400+ cars depart, the reality came that our caravan vacation was in jeopardy due to the thugs. Debbie met us, took us to the dealership while we anxiously awaited news on a new window. Jeannie Dye, the Service Manager located a window in Atlanta, Georgia. When the news was told to Gus, he instructed his people to remove one from a 2003 Spiral Gray Coupe on the show room floor. Gus was a true gentleman as he knew that we had only a few hours of sleep, offered a couch to nap on, a car to return to the hotel or any other needs we may have had. The window was replaced by 11:00 am and we were on our way to Denver to meet up with the rest of the caravan. We cannot express our appreciation to the staff at Gus Paulos Chevrolet, in West Valley City, UT enough. I also understand the evening before, his mechanics stayed until 9 pm repairing other caravan participants cars. This truly is an exceptional dealership which catered to the caravan. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their kind words. The trip was truly a once in a life time event. :chevy
