Default Mod day in the Bay Area

I dont know if anyone would be interested, but I would like to lend a hand to anyone near by or anyone that would like to take a tip to my house. If anyone has something that has been sitting around in their garage(or in your room if your crazy like me) and would like to finally install it, Im hear for ya. Ive done just about every bolt on plus a cam install on my 01 SS, and ive done a few mods to my Vette including everything in my sig. Ive got a garage full of tools and a frig full of beers. Id just like to meet some more of the local Car Guys. Even if you just need help lowering shoot me an email. I work during the day so my nights and weekends are free. :seeya

Have you done a Delusi big Brake kit. I have one sitting in my closet that I want to put on?

Ive never done that brake kit, but ive done a full blown bear racing setup on my 91 mustang. And on that I had to convert the rears to disc from drumb. So im sure it would be easier than that. Its just different calipers, discs, and lines right? Id say we could do it no prob.

What's up!! Long time no see... Yup, you had the only F-Body in the area faster than me for awhile, at least until I dropped the new engine in it. Then there weren't any N/A F-Bods faster!! :)

I don't have much in stock right now. Let me know if you want to go through me anyway, and I'll order one.

Oh yeah, I got a '71 LS5 awhile back. My SS is back to stock and parked in the driveway for now.

Well the drags were canceled do to weather :cry :cry :cry But hopefully next time. I put in some 30# svo injectors and had my car tuned by JR from Team ZR1 and its feeling pretty tuff. :boxing Has anyone been to the concord dyno? I called today and left a message. They must be closed on the weekend. How big of a deal is the pulley Black Majic? And is it worth a tenth? If so order me one up! Take it easy

I have pullies on my car. They might be worth a 5/20th at best IMO on a Z06 it isn't worth it. What is the name of the place of in Concord I would like to know?

Let me know if you want to Autotap your car I will do it for free :) to kinda get a baseline on your car and see how it is running now with the mod's. The SVO injectors aren't going to be worth anything unless your going to do a supercharger or a large head/cam package.

Let me know I was laid off yesterday and have a lot of free time :)

Thanks for the Autotap offer, but I already have it. And you do know that your injectors arent supposed to run over a 80% duty cycle right. And in my case the stockers were and I was still running lean. So no you dont just need them if youve got a blower or big heads and cam. With the new injectors im now running at 70 duty cycle at WOT, and these injectors can flow 30% more fuel so you do the math.

John has quoted duty cycles before and I do understand about not running more then 80% but John has been wrong about duty cycles before and I belive again he is wrong he has told many people to upgrade there injectors on lightly moded cars and they didn't see big gains. You have a Z06 and it already has 28lb injectors the bigest stock injectors that come from GM. Which should be good up to 425rwhp or even more that I have read.

More fuel does you zero good without more air so with head's/cam or a superchager you get more air unless you want to run 7:1 fuel ratio

I didn't offer my help to start a debate good luck with your car. It runs pretty hard out of the box.

Sean, Black Magic put in my pulley and I felt the difference. Cant give you track times but the car reved up quicker. I don't have any mods left since I have everything in the book, but I would come out just to take a closer peek at that BIGASS truck. Wait I may have a few Black Magic Racing stickers to install. I'll let you know

Im sure you could feel the pulley swap. I know that I could feel it when I put them on the camaro. Maybe its different on a Z06  But if they say its worth 8 rwhp on the dyno, then I will take it. Not many $250 mods will net you that gain(if thats really what they're worth?) And let me know if you do want to check out the truck, we could meet up sometime and get a burger. And if you've got all the bugs worked out Id like to see how my car does against a setup like yours. And wicked I dont remember posting anything about the injectors giving me more power. Did I? :skep: If you go back and reread your post you really come off as a Dick
take it easy

Ignore me until I cheer up   I assumed since you were big on the injector mod you assumed it will give you more power. MY BAD :steering:

Yeah 8 rwhp sounds about right for the pully mod. :yesnod:

Man I would hate if we all agreed on the same mods....then everyone would look and drive like me. I have SVO 30# and that topic is very debatable and I'll leave it at that.

Sean...I may have a fun little toy coming in the mail soon, so we may have something to play with. You ever setup some wacky gas :skep: sssshhhhhhhhhhhh
