San Diego performance shops
Anyone know of any reputable performance shops near the San Diego area? Looking to get maintenance and possible performance upgrades done on my C6 Z06. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Try Excelsior Motorsports in Escondido.

BOTH are top notch! You can not go wrong with either of them.

I ended up doing the job in my garage with My Mec, where pretty much all my work is done...
I've had a full two post lift in my garage for the better part of 10 years, and pretty much do all the work on my cars in house. I bring up a certified GM tech for the big jobs.
I've had Edwin come up and help with big jobs just a few times, he did an AWESOME job, but it's REALLY quite a drive for him, and he's got plenty of local work...
I've actually used Kushan back around 2010, he and Charlie were the primary reasons I built a garage with a lift in it when I moved up to the mountains. Charlie was OK for a while, but then turned south on me and MANY others.
I'm happy to go into detail for anyone who really cares, and I know some are happy with Kushan, but I also know many besides myself who were treated VERY poorly, dealt with him once, that was once too many!!
Sorry to be negative, but sometimes you got to tell it like it is...

I was turned away at American Heritage a few years back, they seemed a bit picky about choosing their customers. Sure, I want things done the way I want them, and still hit the runway once in a while, going between 165 and 200 MPH depending on which car I take, and weather it's a 1/2 or full mile pull, so I too am a picky! I also still rip my cars up and down the mountain, so again, I want things down the way I want them.

This is one reason I'm apprehensive getting back in the Corvette world. Finding a great shop that you can trust is very hit-or-miss. Charlie and more so Austin, did well for me, I built two cars with them. And I have also had Edwin come to me and help out as well, but he's to far from me now.
Don't get me started on AHP, you can PM on that subject.
I'm looking at a C7Z06 in the San Diego area and I was thinking about using Kushan this time around, but haven't been able to find strong reviews.

I’ve heard that a lot of the guys from a Corvette group go to Certified Car Clinic. They sucked *** for us during Covid. Took forever getting anything done but but everything was jacked then. No one wanted to go to work, etc. They’ve got a dyno.
