(Bay Area) Pleasanton IN&Out THURSDAY Jan 16th 7:00 PM
Okay, we are back to Thursday and hopefully with some consistancy. Some of us last week were thinking about taking a short cruise :steering: down into downtown Pleasanton and then go over to Hacienda Crossing for some coffee at starbucks at 8pm So basically we would meet at the usual In&Out spot at 7:00-7:30 ..get some burgers then head out for the cruise. For those willing to stay out late ) to stay warm and get some coffee. Plus driving in a caravan is always fun.
I will attempt to make it, sounds like a good time. Will have to see how the wife is, she had a total knee replacement on Tuesday, and is still in the process of recovery. If I can leave her on her own for a few hours, I will be there! :auto:
Thanks RC. Yeah I dont know what happened I only ran a tenth faster with my latest mods. Maybe it was the weather or something? Im still looking for the 11's. I just got done installing some stainless works headers without the cats. So maybe now ill break the barrier? :skep:
Oh RC I was wondering what height your car is sitting at. what do you have from the ground to your fenders? It looks slammed, do you drag on anything? Or should I say how often do you drag. Im going to take out my front bolts and use longer ones in the rears. :smash: :smash: :smash:
Sean Rc has coilovers so no one with stock leaf springs will be as low as his car unless you get coiliovers. Also if you lower the back you'll loose weight transfer which will make it harder to push you into the 11's. My car is about the lowest you can go with leaf springs. My bushing in the front are totaly so I just have the bottom of the screw. I suppose I could go another 1/4 inch if I removed the Screw down all the way. Lowering does make the car look
Next time we meet I would love to run your car. I finally got mine dialed in somewhat and would like to take on a 03 Z06.
hey wicked im always up for a friendly grudge match :boxing Im sure we can find a place thursday night. And ive already cut the fron bushings completely off and have them lowered in as far as they will go, and ive cut the rear bushings in half and have the stock bolts as low as they go. ive got 26 1/4 inches in the front and 26 1/2 in the rear. i cant wait for thursday now :conehead see you guys there.
oh yeah wicked if you cant wait either, I just live over the hill from you. if you want give me a call at 925-382-8383 and we could meet up. and i was also wondering why thursday seems to be the day of choice for get togethers?
Sean, I just went out and measured it. With the current wheels and tires I have exactly 25 inches in the rear and 25.25 in the front. And to answer you question, I never bottom our rub the fener well. I only rubbed when I had the rubber bushings on the upper coilover mount wear away. Delrin bushings will replace those. My sock valving and spring rate is pretty stiff. Not a setup I recommend for you if your interested in drag racing. I thought your car had a nice stance though.
My guess on why thursday night seems to be the best night is because it is almost the weekend which gives you all week to plan to make it. Fri, Sat, Sun are bad because people frequently make other plans for the weekend. It just happens to be on the same night as the NorCal guys.
As for you BodaciousBlue, bring that Yugo I got a can of whoopass for it. :p:
