2020 C5 of the Year Finalist - Modified
I like my new foam gun because I don't really need to touch the car. Theres cleaning foam and then drying solution. You hit it with foam, let it sit for a minute, rinse, spray the drying solution and then you can either dry by hand or hop on the freeway.

I used a company out of Pasadena called "Second 2 none" to clean and detail my jeep before I sold it. They did such an amazing job on it I almost didn't sell it. I never cleaned that jeep and after years of trails it showed. When they were done it looked better than it did when I bought her.
I'm going to have them come back to take care of the vette and my wife's car after Christmas.
Check them out.... http://second2noneauto.com/

Safety Car
While not as easy as point and pay, I use the self service coin operated car washes. They have a soft water rinse, a nice advantage in my area, and the main attraction for me. Well, that and the only prep for the task is getting the tokens.
It keeps me in touch with the exterior condition of the car, and is pretty easy, since I don't bend down more than to drag my drying towels across the body, and the car is small and curvy. Not for the answer for a perfectionist, but it keeps things daily driver clean.
For instance, I was leaving a car show and an exhibitor was loading up after the show, he trailered in a little thatched roof tourist car and gave me a return compliment that my car looks pretty good just needs a little cleaning. I had to share a laugh as I told him I cleaned it up the day before in preparation to drive to the show. I add this for perspective, everybody has a different criteria of enjoyment. ( the guy was a big deal collector , I later saw his garage in a magazine) I thought the car was ok, guess not.
I always check the brush before I put in the money, and just wash and rinse, the only other options I use are a wheel rinse chemical, before the wash cycle. I just drag a couple of cheap dedicated beach towels across the surface to dry the car , and then pick up the known drip spots when that water weeps out later, door handles, etc. I have a soft top, and carefully foam and rinse that since it has a treatment on the fabric that I baby, and high pressure water can get past the side windows from some angles.
The easy to apply waxes found at the auto parts store, are just that, modern and easy. They don't last as long as the time consuming old style I am told, but when you wash it weekly, or so , it looks ok. At more casual car events, most guys just use auto parts stuff. ( I ask, not enter)
A car cover is handy for keeping the wash events to a minimum.
Of course, the best option for me would be to find a kid or kids to help. Quality of wash might go down, quality of life would go up. No kids on my block, houses got pricey.

Looking for a great mobile detail company or car wash to do some paint correction and detail on my C6. Preferable in SCV, but the SF valley would work.
I typically go to Soapy Suds (a local car wash) but I'm not impressed by their attention to detail.
Let me know what you guys recommend!
