C5/VETTE DRAG RACING EVENT AT FAMOSO ON OCTOBER 18TH
If you really want to see what your car will do in the 1/4 mile, then Famoso Raceway is where you want to be. The elevation is around 400 feet above sea level. The track is very well prepped and maintained. The air temp will most likely be in the high 60's.
I've spoken with the track administrator/manager and secured us our own lane for the evening. Famoso is located in Bakersfield, CA and racing will take place from approx 6pm until at least 11pm.
Who is interested?

No guarantee on runs, but they told me we would get more runs with our own lane then if we were in the general group. :yesnod:

Since I live in Bakersfield, it is a no brainer. nI will be going to the SLP race in Vegas the 12 so it should be a nice comparison to altitude.

Personally, I think Sac is 10x better than Famoso. But that's just me. I may go to Famoso for this round though, if we can be sure to get our own lane. (and a few other C4's go)

I believe if you run under 13.99 in a conv, you must have a rollbar. If you have a hardtop, then a roll bar is required under 11.99. You could make some light passes then go out with a hard one. A helmet is also required.

I've never been to Sac, too far from LA. I do know that Fomosa is way better then Carlsbad and Palmdale as well as better elevation. I was assured by the track Manager/Administrator that as long as we can get even 5 or 6 cars together, we WILL have our own lane!
