Default Need Best Windshield "Replacement" Shop for My C6 (Closest to me as possible)

On a trip to Santa Barbara yesterday with my wife, a "Big" rock hit the window and damaged it pretty bad and it spread pretty quickly and this morning it is even worse

So I will let the insurance company know asap (took pics) and then get it replaced as soon as possible - HUD and Sirius/XM windshield

Question:

Where is one of the best Windshield Replacement Shops near my area Palmdale Ca 93552, that perhaps you or another member has has used for their Corvette?

Thanks,Matt

I would ask the shop what windshield manufacturer they are using. The glass I got was exactly the same as factory. It had the factory rear view mirror and gps/Xm mounts installed. It even has the factory markings to align the windshield wipers.

I had a factory HUD windshield replaced with the same glass by Safelite. No leaks, was done in my driveway and took maybe 2 hours. Just tell whoever does the work that you want GM class, they'll get it for you.

I had Safelite replace my Grand Sport windshield with factory glass. Unless you specifically ask they may use third party glass instead. Your insurance may have some input on which brand is used and it may cost you a little extra for factory glass or take them a day or two to get it. State Farm didn't have any problem with mine but car was fairly new when it happened. No issues with replacement, couldn't even tell it was replaced. They did have me take it to their shop where they had better tools but that was before they had the mobile install tool.

Excellent help and information.

My claim is in and I have the number and should hear from the adjuster by Tuesday latest. I will keep any updates coming along the way.

Thanks, Matt

Update:

Since I have the NCM Corvette Insurance (AMIG) - $0 deductible for safety glass (windshield)

Once I talked to them they told me that all I have to do is get the quote and send it to them (email) and they will send the check to me -

I can either pay for it first or wait for the check and then get the repair done -

I opted for the quote I got from "Safelite" due to their warranty, I made sure that I was getting GM glass and the exact glass for my VIN and everything that my Vette has -

I did get a couple of quotes and all were right about the same, but again Safelite's nation wide warranty really is hard to beat -

Thanks,Matt

I used All Star Glass, insurance recommended and paid directly (I paid deductible to them when they finished the job). Used GM glass. When they came out, he checked the glass they loaded on his truck and he wasn't happy with it, so came back the next day.
