Default New PB at Mojave Mile, 206.8 MPH! *HD Vid*

I drove out to Mojave this weekend, and made three passes at the Mojave mile, then drove her back up the mountain, about (300 roundtrip) in one piece.

The first pass (206.8 MPH) was actually a "breakout", since I was only approved to go 200 MPH, with a 5 mph leeway. I backed it down just a hair, and went 201.8, then 202.5, packed it up and drove home.

My new friend Jeffrey Hart came out with me for the weekend, and shot a bunch of video on top of what I usually do. We met up with "Michelle" on Saturday, and then he shot again all day Sunday at the event.

It will be at least a few weeks before he's done editing, but here is a short teaser from my cameras on one pass...

Short list of people who are due some thanks...
My wife, CMS, ECS, RPM Tranny, Unitrax, QMP, Mcleod, Torco, and Nick.

I've seen DH....but all I need is the big bolt on stuff. Being the Mstr tech that I am, I always end up with more for less .

Joel I am so serious....
and have a great trip

Very nice run. I hope to get back out to Mojave next year when they have the next Magnum event since that would be my only hope of hitting 200.

Thanks, trying to back it down a few MPH at 195 is a bit touchy...

Yeah that snake built me a crappy motor too. The bad thing is I never had a chance to test mine with 20 psi because he could not tune it. So I sold it and the person who bought it had a great tuner and they solved the tune issue and the motor melted on the dyno. They took pictures of the motor during the tear down and it was bad. Talk about money wasted but I can't tell you anything you don't already know. When I get back into a Corvette I would like to meet up with you and check out your new garage

Take it easy Joel and keep posting those video's.

Joel, as usual your car was incredibly strong and obviously
reliable. It was great to see you again, you outlaw going
over your speed limit! Must have felt great. Any thought
of doing the 1.5 Mi if they do it again? When do you add
the parachute?
Ted
PS Did you ever find out what else they want to go over
205?

Thank You Ted, nice seeing you again! I did ask on the 220 MPH limit, and you need a full roll cage, I only have a four point welded to the frame.

My Supercharged C5 has a max speed, gear limited, of right around 207 MPH. I pulled to 6900 RPM is 6th gear when I hit the 206.7 MPH run. I'd have to bring the C6 if I was going to do the 1.5 mile run.
