Default Recommended shop?

Greetings,

I've been having these damn ticking noise on my 08 C6 Z51 coming somewhere from the suspension/wheel wells for a few months now. Every time the steering wheel is turned, no matter how little, to the left or right side, the ticking noise is heard. As speed increases the ticking noise becomes more rapid. On curved freeway ramps with the windows down the ticking noise is just gloriously annoying.

Can anybody kindly recommend if I should take this to a dealership, a Vette shop, or maybe just a good old suspension shop? I am out of warranty so am quite reluctant to go to a dealer in fear of them telling me to fix a million things before actually finding the culprit...

Any help is much appreciated!

Take it to Rydell in Northridge, and make sure you have Donny work on your car. He is the best.

By the way, could there be a nail in your tires(s)???

Thanks I will check out Rydell.

I checked everything...loose wheel caps, wheel bearing, end links, axle nut..everything seemed fine based on what i read is defined as "normal". the tires are all still relatively new, just replaced them a while ago. ticking started before getting the tires...

Hopefully Rydell will deliver!

This is a far out possibility, but check for a crack around the flange on the front hubs.

How do you know iris not bearings?

Do you have aftermarket brake rotors with floating disks?

RPM is Santa Clarita is doing most of the work On my race car that John and I elect to not do. I recommend them highly.
