Default Speed-Freaks, LLC: New Corvetteforum sponsor introduction

Speed Freaks, LLC is happy to announce our recent sponsorship with Corvetteforum. We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to those of you who don’t know who we are.

Speed Freaks, LLC is a consolidated and centralized distribution effort of former companies (STI and Proline Distribution) in order to streamline operations and get products to customers faster. We have been in the wholesale and retail automotive parts and supplies business since 2001 and currently operate out of Nevada.

Speed Freaks, LLC is a team of professions (inclusive of but not limited to Mechanical Engineers, Business, Legal, Technicians, Design Engineers) who, above all, love to drive. We test, break, design, re-design, and report on the products we sell, and we sell what we use. As members of the car community, we extend our unique and long-standing relationships with manufacturers by offering great deals and very competitive pricing on components, in some cases these manufacturers are also our engineering customers.

Our retail site (www.speed-freaks.net) is constantly being updated. We sell many items that are not listed on the website. If there is something you want but don’t see, just ask and chances are we have it or can get it quickly. Please feel free to contact us via PM, email, our contact or inquiry form, phone, or by responding to this post

To kick off the new sponsorship we are looking to do a Black Friday special and would like feedback on what everyone would prefer to see as a Corvetteforum special. Some options have been provided in the poll below, but we are open to considering requests as well!

Poll:
Carbotech Pads
Stoptech Rotors
Stoptech BBK
GiroDisc Rotors
DBA Rotors
PFC Rotors
PFC BBK
PFC Pads
Cobalt Friction Pads
Endless Pads
Project Mu Pads

Thank you again for the opportunity and we look forward to working with you all!

I see your posts over in the autocross & roadracing section and we can definitely come up with solutions for you depending on your budget and what your goals are with the car.

If you're looking for the best results while spending the least amount of money up front then doing track pads, brake fluid and perhaps stainless steel brake lines would be the way to go (if your rotors are still in usable shape... otherwise rotors as well)

If you have the money to spend I always recommend a BBK. If you track the car more than a handful of times per year they will pay for themselves in the long run in reduced consumables cost (pads and rotors).

Other benefits are:
1. The obvious performance benefits of consistency and increased feel, feedback, and confidence in the braking zone.
2. After the initial purchase, you only have to replace the rings.
3. Bearing life is greatly improved. If you've ever gone through it you know that new bearings and hubs plus labor is very expensive.
4. If you have buyers remorse for some reason, you still have equity in the kit and should be able to sell it for not much less than you paid for it.
5. A BBK could potentially save you money from missed track time (changing cracked rotors)
