Anyone else get the letter from ATDS for emission testing
I received a letter today from Automotive Testing and Development Services on the behalf of GM. Looks to be on GM letterhead. Basically it says this: "ATDS is contacting owners of 2008 model year Chevrolet Corvettes equipped with a 6.2L engine regarding an opportunity to participate in a important environmental program to measure the emission performance of privately owned vehicle in Southern California".
It then goes on and on the testing will be at a GM contracted Lab in So. Cal. They provide a loaner car and $1000 for participation. They state the car testing will be on an indoor chassis dynamometer and should expect them to put on approx. 80 miles during the test.
Seems kind of strange that GM would even care since the C7 is out with a different engine. They list my VIN # and everything.
Anyone else get one of these letters?

From all I have found out it looks legit. Thanks for letting me know others have gotten these. I went ahead and filled out the information form and mailed it. Kind of hard to pass up a grand. lol.....
Going to still be skeptical and make sure 100% its for real before I hand over my car to someone.

Got one about 2 years ago. I called them a week later and we discussed my car, however when i told them I had a supercharger installed, they told me that they were interested in stock only cars.
The Test Facility is some where in the Pomona area i believe
