2007 Z starting making a loud ticking sound out of the blue tonight. Still runs but something is wrong. Under the hood the cai was off at the TB but I don't know if it's related. Can anyone recommend a shop near SD that I can trust with the car and to diagnose properly? Thanks.

I'd give Ryne @ Cunningham Motorsports a call. They aren't in SD but close enough in Murrieta, CA. They're the only vette shop in the socal area I'd want my car to go to. Give him a call at 951-677-0716 and tell them Matt sent ya! You can also PM him on here. Ryne@CMS

You could try Bob Stall Chevrolet in La Mesa....just off the 8 or Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet off Balboa Ave.
