Was a great day today. Bright and sunny. It never rains on the Corvette Challenge. We had some new drivers, one who drove Paul (in a C3) and one who couldn't (Nick).
We had our awesome model Amber presenting awards and posing with all drivers for pictures with their cars.
We had new trophies this year with picture inserts. Season trophy winners get to pick any picture from the track photographer or model picture with car to place in their trophy plaque. Drivers can pick from the track photographers online library of their car.
So lets start posting video and smack talk.
Amber asked me to take her out for a few laps. Hopefully her voice can be heard .......... sounded like car sex

Lol, Howie, car sex!
Had a blast, great seeing the regulars and meeting new people. Howie, great event as always. Paul, awesome C3 and cool sons. Frank, thanks for the jump! And everyone else, I had a great time making conversation. I gotta make one of the valley gtg's soon since I heard its basically like practice for track days. Lol. I was happy with my car. It needs a few tweaks here n there, and an oil cooler, but it ran strong. First time I really push the new motor/combo. Saw my data and I was touching 140mph before turn 1. The hawk hp pads did ok but I could tell they were at the max at a few times. Time to save up. See you guys soon.

Congrats to all the Regular participants that made it out this season!!!
I was shooting for first, but came home with second for the day, which then put me in second for the season. I needed a win for the day (I was 9 points out of first) to get a win for the season.
On a brighter note:
*It was perfect racing weather
*I beat my PB by almost 2.5 seconds 1:33.7
*My repositioned oil cooler dropped coolant and oil temps by 30+ degrees
*The car and myself both made it home in one piece
*I got another cool pic with AMBER!!!
Going to work on some video right now!!!
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WORKED ON THE CORVETTE CHALLENGE THIS YEAR!!!:

Here's a few photos guys.... very sorry in advance if we missed you or your car... had a few technical details to deal with and haven't been doing this long enough to work out the brain space to shoot photos AND try to prepare to drive and stay up with most of you guys
Had a great time as usual, and hope to be around for more Challenge events next year!
Happy Holidays to all!

Glad you had a good time. Hopefully you just have a loose plug or something. Look forward to seeing you and your boys out for the 2013 Corvette Challenge

Dave thanks for posting the pictures. You got a couple nice ones of my car #171 out on the track. I did get two sessions in #1 #2 before I corded a tire and became a spectator. I was lucky to get any track time as I also had a leaking brake bleeder valve causing traction control problems. This wasn't my best year with two blown engines etc etc. I need to get some confidence back in my car. It's causing me to drive way to conservative and not posting the lap times the I should be putting down. Hope next year will be kinder to me although I did make all the races except LS up north.
