Your car is a monster. You don't need brakes to go faster. You need to stop using them so much

Looking forward to the stock class! Should be a blast!

Harness bar or just get a GoPro.

Yes you will have a blast !!!

Mike

What session was that it was wide open !!!

Your line VERY GOOD. Better than mine in the OMEGA.

You are down shifting too soon going into turn 3. Also try shifting down to 3rd in turn 1 instead and going thru turn 2 in 3rd gear instead of 4th

Also I don't think any of the C6Z06 guys are short shifting at turn 6. Let that puppy wind out in 3rd on the back straight.

Great driving !!

Your car is stock right? No mods, street tires ??

Can't wait to get back there on June 2.

Awesome, thanks for those tips. I will use them in June. I was running in the black group, and yes, the entire day there was NO traffic!

My cars is not stock. I have lg headers, cats, front splitter, tune, brake ducts, ps2, hawk d60 / 70. But I think my 30% tint was most helpful in my fastest lap time .

I think you will be in Super Mod with the tune/headers

There is a link to the spread sheet to properly class your car. When you sign up check into the event thread and post your class and run group.

DH – Yes, I watched your videos. Since I never saw my car in them, I can expect to be exempt from the 50 point addition? When I got home, I realized that I have a sweet digital video camera. Never thought about putting it in the car. I just need to figure out a way to mount it. I guess there’s always duct tape

Looking forward to the event on the 2nd!

Kevin

What wheels were you running on your car?

I stay in 4th thru 8/9 just like you were doing. I only downshift to 3rd if I get stuck behind a slow car going into 9. I think 120 for most of turn 8.

I need to work on Turn 8....I was going too slow through there....only 90 mph. I kept seeing those skid marks leading out to the desert so I kept thinking..." keep it on the track"!

Lol. I saw the same marks and said. That's a $4,000 paint touch up if I run off.

Funny thing is ...... you never see anyone go off on turn 8. Everywhere else but not turn 8. You guys can go faster. Hell I can go faster too

CCW C10s. 10" in front and 11" in rear wrapped in Toyo R888s. Best I could do on a narrow body C6.

Gents, I just stumbled on this thread..some great info here. I've a '12 grandsport coupe, 6spd manual, all stock. I've done lots of track days in cars & bikes & may join y'all at Willow in June.

Question, on the stock 275/325 GY F-1 run flats (1st gen), what kind of tire psi do you guys run or recommend? The owner's manual says 30psi cold for normal driving which works fine, but 26psi cold for 'high speed driving'.

I just did Laguna Seca last month, tires set at 30 psi cold, but they continually heated up to 38-42psi. I kept lowering them to 33-34psi, but they still didn't feel right. Until I burn through these & get PS2's, I need some cold & hot psi recommendations for these Goodyear F1's. Thanks.

Please join us here as you will get lots of advise from more guys with plenty of track experience:

I would say 26-28 depending on track, ambient temps and how crazy you are

30 psi cold is too much. I usually go out with 23-24 psi cold, and I wind up around 32-34 psi hot. Try to run a little less pressure (1-2 psi) less in your rear tires than you run up front. When your tires are done, I'd recommend Nitto NT-05, just as good if not better than PS2's, and a lot cheaper too.

Depending on your tires and other things going on, you should be able to do T8 at 120, up to maybe 140 MPH.

Don't listen to him. 120 max for normal drivers. 140 for crazies with lots of aero/suspension and very sticky tires

Sorry you couldn't make it Rob .........
