Famoso... Again? You gotta be kidding!!!
I've been getting a few PMs lately asking for another private track rental.... look what I've done? I've turned you guys into a bunch of addicts LOL. Anyways, I was thinking about February 5th, 2011 for our next private rental at Famoso. What do you guys think? After that, we won't have a chance to do a private rental until next November.
This time I'm thinking about doing some friendly little competitions in the following categories:
- Best 60' time on street tires
- Best 60' time on drag radials
- Best reaction time
- Best ET of the day
- Best Trap speed of the day
- Worst reaction time (got to be unintentional)
- Whatever else you guys may suggest
One condition: we gotta vote Jeremy out of the best 60' competition The guy was unstoppable on Saturday; he was cutting 1.80 to 1.82 60' times on street tires in a 63 all day long like it was nothing
Okay, so who's interested?
EDIT: just realized super-bowl will be the day after. How about February 12th?

I might be down for that one, car should be up in a week or so and bugs worked out by then. Is this for Vettes only or can I run my A body with you guys? No Vette right now.

Add some more cars (75) and bring the price down to about $125, like the old days. We still got in more runs than one person could handle.

True, it was almost too empty in the staging area. I left early because I got so many runs in so quickly and wanted to make the drive home before the sun went down. Either way, I'd do it again for sure.

Burning Brakes
Feb 5th or 12th would work for me.
How about doing a "team" type race. American vs German or Japanese
Take four cars of each and run them against four of the others add up the total time(include the reaction time) of the four "team" cars the quickest team wins. Or do it with MPH.
You can have the teams made up of N/A cars or F/I NOS.

For that price you can definitely count me in. My car should be completely tuned and skinnies installed. I just need to rent a trailer. I would hate to break something that far away. Breaking at Irwindale was bad enough for me.

I'm still awaiting confirmation from the track owner on dates and a few other requests. I'll update you guys as soon as I find out :y
