Default Long Beach Grand Prix - Corvette Racing

Long Beach Grand Prix is coming up April 16-18th this year. It's going to be GREAT. 35 cars racing in the ALMS race, with 12 of them being in the same class as the Corvette. For those of you who dont know, Corvette races in the same class with BMW's, a Ford GT, Porsches, Ferrari F430's and a Jaguar. I've gone the past two years and it is awesome

Here are some pics from last year.

This year I am going with 3 friends. Unfortunately 2 others bailed, and I have 2 extra 3-day tickets I need to unload, PM me and I will give you more info if you are interested.

So who else is going to long beach? Who are you rooting for?

I've been going for a few years and have always had seats at the hair pin. I may just go Sat for the ALMS and Cheap Trick concert & celebrity race, I don't have tickets now, but I was thinking of just getting Gen Admission for SAT. Lemme know if you want to dump Fri/Sat tickets only.

We'll be leaving Phoenix Thursday evening and heading to Long Beach. Have Corvette corral parking passes for Friday and Saturday. This will be our first Long Beach Grand Prix. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Yes it did. Boris Said was driving. He had a little trouble getting out, it took a long time.

I was in Grandstand 16 last year. It is probably the worst on the entire track. Not much to see there. Going to LV NHRA instead this year. Planning on Laguna Seca in May for ALMS.

My son and I are going Sat. What is the Corvette Coral parking and how do you get to it? Is a General Admission ticket good enough or are reserved seats the way to go? Thanks.

MORE INFO.

Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race at the April 16-18 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will have special meaning for Corvette Racing drivers like Olivier Beretta, Jan Magnussen, Johnny O'Connell and Oliver Gavin.

The four will have their own special rooting section in the form of the "Corvette Corral," with more than 100 Corvettes and their owners sharing a special private Friday and Saturday hospitality area behind Grandstands 24-26.

Corvette Corral members will enjoy a weekend filled with visits from ALMS drivers, tech talk and swapping stories, touring the free Lifestyle Expo and enjoying Saturday's racing, which also includes the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, IndyCar qualifying and Team Drifting Challenge.

Similar Corvette Corrals are popular at many other racing venues across the United States and Canada. Ticket prices for the Friday, April 16 Corvette Corral are $25 for a general admission grandstand ticket and $20 for private Corral parking. On Saturday, April 17, tickets are $57 for a reserved grandstand seat or $42 for general admission grandstand seat and $20 for private Corral parking. Admission ticket purchase is required to obtain Corral parking.

The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach schedule for Sun., April 18 includes Dario Franchitti and Danica Patrick headlining the field in the IZOD IndyCar Series race, along with the Firestone Indy Lights, Team Drifting Challenge and SCCA Pro World Challenge Championships races.

For the second consecutive year, ticket prices for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach have remained unchanged. Tickets for the three-day event range from $25 for a Friday General Admission ticket to $125 for a three-day ticket that includes Sat./Sun. reserved seating in grandstand upper levels. Pre-paid parking packages are also available, along with handicapped seating, IndyCar Paddock passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of Hospitality Club packages including the all-new Vista Club located high atop the Hyatt Regency Long Beach

Unfortunately the corral is sold out. We buy the general admission tickets and walk around the whole race. There are tons of spots to view from.

I picked up my tickets today and they had parking in the red area (on the map) only. I grabbed a ticket for that.

The Corvette Corral saved my life last year in the 100 degree weather. It was so hot, it was nice to hide in the shade with ice cold water and some hot Corvettes. I don't think it will be as hot this year so Tecate here i come.

I went last year. Was a great time, enjoyed it tremendously.
I'm going to go on Friday.

Last year there were vouchers in the papers good toward a free Friday ticket. Have any of you guys seen any ticket vouchers in any of the newspapers?

Here's one of the cuties from last year
