Default report your times 2/28 fontana dragsters!!

Hey guys,
I don't own a vette but am always shopping for one...that said I saw a couple vettes at the drags and would like to know what your times and mods are. I noticed it was a fairly slow day w/a d/a of 1700ft. There was a quick c6 supercharged and a red c5 z06 that I'm especially intrerested in. Thanks guys

WOW! With the DA that high I am glad I had some other responsibilities to take care of - Still would of been fun though!

Looking forward to hearing of some other times too -

Anyone know if IVAN was able to go?

Thanks,Matt

I went but I'm not going to reveal my time because I might get booted from the forum lol. I was rolling with stockers GY and the tires were loose from 1st thru 3rd gear. I had to let off on 3rd gear which messed up my ET.

I was only able to run once because of other obligations. The track was not ready until 10am. Also, I believe a new Camaro did a 180 and messed up the track for another 45 mins before lunch break.

There were quite a bit of Mustangs that day. I did meet up with Andrew with the nice C5 z06 (on HRE's), Eric and a fellow with a white c4. Cool guys!

yeah I noticed there were a couple vettes that barely trapped 108mph??? I was wondering if it was the track cond or the cars. that makes much more sense...keep the times coming good or bad

I only had time for one run and I miss shifted 2nd ran a 13.1@114 too bad I missed a a camaro running 180??

As stated by others the track was in poor condition, at least the right lane. Never got to the left. Many delays. My 65 runs real high 12s low 13s at 114. I struggled to get 14 even. To much wheel spin even in 3rd, I know mostly my fault.

Fist time launching with my c5 z06, 2.1 60ft 13.1@112mph. I hate the fact that we get only 3 runs. I'd much rather go to famoso. I think LACR was much better given the fact that you get 20 runs a night. hahaha

Yeah, we ran on the highway on the way to fontana and we were dead even. The CLK63 black ran 12.9@110mph. I have LG pro headers I haven't installed yet. The z06 came with some short shifter that feels like a solid piece of metal, I can't powershift any of the gears so I'm stuck granny shifting.

which red c5z are you talking about, there were two and i was one of them.

i ended up running a 12.1 at 123 with the clutch slipping pretty bad in first gear and the beginning of second. i still need to practice on the launch. btw, are you by any chance one of the guys with the orange camaro and if so which one is it, the supercharged or the nitrous one. and what was your best time.

wow that is one fast c5 z06...what do you have done?? the red z06 I was reffering to had some red seats...do you know what he ran by chance?

I was in a blue z4m miss shifted second and ran 13.1 @ 114 in the right lane w/ no traction until 3rd...still better than what I though I would do

Wow that was you then! I was impressed b/c you seemed to be running the fastest w/o a blower/turbo among the vettes. Nice looking and sounding vette!
