Jan. 31st.-Vette Roundup @ The Block of Orange
Hello fellow "BLOCKHEADS!!!"
We'll be meeting next month with a treat!!!

We'll meet at 8 AM and leave at around 9 AM to:
60TH GRAND NATIONAL ROADSTER SHOW

Pomona Fairplex
1101 W. McKinley Ave.
Pomona, CA 91768
HOURS: 10 Am - 7 PM
ADMISSION: $20
(I'll pick up $2 OFF coupons)
PARKING: $9
FOOD: Inside/outside of bldgs.
(we'll park at the Blue Gate #9 on White Ave.)
We'll have a nice cruise up thru Brea Canyon and the adjoining cities. (I just did a pre-drive and you'll like it)
(so start saving your pennies now so you don't have an excuse not to go)

Steve Stavely who is a Regional Executive with California Sports Car Club (Cal Club) which is part of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA).
E-mailed me about getting the Vettes together and having some controlled parade laps at Cal Speedway on June 13th. We did this two years ago and it was a huge success. I've talked to Sparky and we are going to do it with his monthly GTG in June.
I think the T1 Vettes are racing that day. Here are some pix's from 2008.
Steve was kind enough to buy ribbon trophies for us and we had a impromptu car show judged by the T1 drivers.

My son and I were the first to drive to the staging area, which, in our minds meant...THE FIRST ON THE TRACK!!!
But, it didn't work out that way...we were the first car in the last line to get on the track. Oh, well, still had a super duper great time.
Thanks again Mike for putting that on and for the one coming up in June, which The Block is going to!!!
