Default Pfadt Coilovers - NOISE

Well the forum helped me with the Fronts Clunking, I torqued the top nuts to 14 lbs. applied lock tight and the problem was solved. Now over the last month I have noticed a creaking noise evolve into a clunking sound coming from the rear driver side wheel ???

Can the rears come loose and how do you resolve this ???

I have had the coilovers installed on my 2004 ZO6 for approx. 6 months now.

Again, thank you for ALL your help and time.

Think my 2001 Automatic had this with the stuck suspension. Might check rear swaybar?

The rears definately will make the same clunking sound or even worse. When I had mine installed, after one week the clunking from the rear was terrible. The rubber bushings on the top of the coilovers have a tendency of "settling" and creating a gap so you may have to retorque the top nut. They are a pain to get to so when mine came loose we actually added a second nut to make sure the nut(s) don't back out.

Pfadt is very aware of this problem, I think they even talk about it in their FAQ section. I've been told that Pfadt updated their top nut mounts to eliminate this problem, but in my case the retorqueing and second nut solved the problem - going on two years now.
