Default New Race Track in SoCal

I just wanted to let those that did not know that a new race track in SoCal is under construction. It is called Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and is located in Desert Center Ca. about one hour East of Palm Springs. You can get more information on our web site http://www.chuckwallavalleyraceway.com or on our Chuckwalla Valley Raceway Face Book Page. You may find our current web page a little light on information as we are in the works on getting our new site up. Our Face Book page is up to date and gives fresh information and pics weekly. There is also a video with two computer laps around the track. The video is a little rough as it was provided by our grading contractor but is out of their Gps files and all the elevations and contours are correct. Please take a look at it and let us know what you think. If you become a fan of the page you can watch as we move forward through the construction.

Micky,
This is great news and the track design looks very exciting. Do you have any completion dates at this point?

yes so don't do track days in the summer. The rest of the year the average temp is 70 to 80 with 3.5 inches of rain fall a year. drive all year take the summer off and go to the river.

Mark

I checked out the site and signed up for info. But please do keep me posted.

It was hard to tell how long the straights were from the map. Do you think we can get to 150+ like at ACS ?

We should try to have one of our Corvette events out at this facility. Hopefully we can work something out. It is a little far so we will probably need to do an overnight trip.

What are our plans for the tracks next year? We need more variety and less big track willow springs (no more than 2 events). I think we should run Buttonwillow a few times in different configurations. When you run CW vs CCW the track is very different. I think we should run the Streets of Willow as well.

I agree as long as the Desert Center track would be like the first stop on the circuit before the summer track temps go over the 100+ deg. mark. The Spring Mountain Track should also be considered.

So everybody knows, what Mark and I are talking about is something completely different than the Corvette Challenge and wouldn't conflict with it.
