I would have to say they are the best i have dealt with in LA. I really like that the Svc Mgr. gets involved if you actually have a problem with the car.

I am sure many will chime in with opinions I am not huge fan of dealerships. I miss going my dealer ship in Florida where it was all school buddies that were my svc. writer and mechanics. Things were done right (at least for me) and cash under the table instead of no marked up dealer prices.

My C6 was hit (it was parked) three months after I purchased it new. I had it towed to Cormier and the estimate was rediculously low because they were trying to refurbish parts and not replace parts that were damaged. Their estimate was under $3K. I had my car towed elsewhere and the total damage was $11K plus. Cormier hadn't even checked all the areas for damage. The rear tub was cracked and all you have to do to check it is lift the carpet. I guess that was over their head. I've never been back and it would the last place I would ever take my Corvette or even a Kia (no I don't own one).

I've had several services performed on my C6 at Cormier Chevy and they all were done to my satisfaction (no issues).

I don't know if this is the case with Cormier, but many body shops within dealerships are not actually run by the dealerships. The one's that are, usually are not supervised by the service manager.

I have had my car at Cormier with excellent results. They don't mind working on modified cars, so long as the mods don't impact the part(s) being serviced. Service Manager >>> Jim Ivison

I'm sure they can handle an oil change.

The quote came from the service department. I was shocked at the estimate and the person I talked to assured me it was accurate and complete. As I said, they didn't even lift the carpet to inspect the rear tub, which was cracked. That alone necessitates a lot of work to replace it. They also didn't inspect the suspension components that were damaged and weren't going to check the rear wheel. They were going to try to refurbish the rear bumper cover. I'm glad others have had no problems, but once bitten twice shy. Shady is the word that comes to mind.

OK, but why would a service dept give you an estimate for body work? They will be able to do an oil change service.

How would I know? I don't work there. I just know they won't touch my car.

As for the ability to do an oil change, I see plenty of posts about rocker panels being damaged by Chevrolet dealers.

Stay away from Cormier if you have a modified Corvette. My experience 3 years ago was not at all pleasant. I have not been back since then.

Connell is great! I bought my second vette from them based on the quality of the service department (and that they met my price)!
