Default Dyno and a Tune on my 07 Z06: Thanks CMS

Had a great time at the CMS Dyno Day. Got some baseline dyno numbers on my Z06 and noticed that it was running pretty rich (10.5-1). I thought the car should be making more power. I decided to ask Ryne if he would tune my car and he said he would. I was pretty surprised that he agreed considering all the people that wanted to get on the dyno even after the 30 that had pre paid. Ryne agreed was able to get 35 more Horse Power and 32 more Torque out of the car with tuning.

Baseline on the car with 1200 miles was 440HP and 409 Torque. After Tune 475HP and 441 Torque. I'm very pleased with the results. I went for a ride this morning and getting onto I-5 was pretty interesting to say the least.. Here are the dyno sheets:

HP and Torque after Tuning from Ryne at CMS

After Tuning Air Fuel

Numbers before tuning and running rich at 10.5-1 Air Fuel

During and after tuning

Thanks Ryne for tuning my car after a very long day running such a great event!

Nick

Very nice gain! I need to get mine back up there for a tune just to see how much if any difference there is coming from the east to west coast.

Nice! Your car was bad ass, love the blue. Thought your numbers were kind of low. You have a Callaway Honker right? Was that what made in run rich? I was thinking of getting a Honker for my LS3 but I didn't think you needed a tune for just an intake.

Wow! I knew you wanted a tune after your intial pull, but didn't think it would be possible to get it that soon. Great service on very little notice by CMS.

It's a Halltech Killer Bee. It has felt down on power compared to the stock intake. I do think it was down on power due to the intake or my failure to tighten it correctly. I over tightened the first halltech I had and had to have it replaced (Crimped plastic at the filter and maf connector.) Then I got a replacement and undertightened it. I noticed it was under tightened two days ago. You could litterally just lift the intack out of the filter.. I re tightened it the night before the dyno and went for a ride. I imagine it was compensating for the extra air it had been seeing by adding a bunch of fuel... My theory anyway..

Nick, glad to see that you got the car tuned. Like we had talked about, tuning was well worth the money

Great numbers.
