Default Visiting LA area for first time 4/6 - 4/10

I will be visiting the LA area the week of Monday 4/6 thru Friday 4/10 on a business trip. Coming from out here in Eastern CT. I have never been to Cali before!! I will be staying in the Manhattan Beach area.

I should have some time off, so are there any Vette related events going on at all?

What should be a "must see" for me in that area?

How's the weather this time of year? Living out here, I haven't had my Vette out of the garage since late October. We got pounded with snow all winter.

Thanks,
-Rick

Most GTG's occur on the weekend except one in San Diego. I think its a weekday outing. (update...look for Varmits and Cobras) Keep your eyes peeled on this section of the forum though for updates.

Weather....we only have Sun and a little rain. You'll probably see lots of sun. Its 79 degrees and its 3:45 pm. Very nice right now. You'll hate to go back home!
As for the must see...hot chicks...lol

You can't go wrong checking out the pier in Santa Monica or the freaks at Venice Beach. rayluka's right about the weather. As for me I wish I was where you are, although I have not been to Killingly. I have been to a number of areas in CT, RI, New England. I love it there. We were in Newport, RI last September. Probably won't make it there this year, no money! Enjoy your stay in So Cal!

Lots of beaches to see and in about 90 minutes, you can be up in the forest of the San Bernardino mountains.. like Lake Arrowhead of Big Bear Lake. As mentioned already, weather here doesn't change much.. usually nice all the time. In fact, a change in the weather is a welcome sight for me! Get tired of it being nice all the time. Be prepared for traffic and lots of it. Get yourself a GPS unit or have some maps. There are lots of freeways everywhere and they are all jammed.

The Hermosa Beach Pier would a fun option to visit one night. Lots of restaurants and cool bars. Plus the chicks are some of the hottest in the world. It would be a close cab ride from where you are staying.

Just go down Manhattan Beach Blvd. to the pier. It doesn't get much better than that . . . .

There's not that much going on on Manhattan beach Pier, you need to go to Hermosa Pier. It's a little farther down south, but not by much.
