I just wanted to drop down here and let you guys know of an event we have going on for Memorial Day weekend. Nor Cal has put together a Drag Day at infineon Raceway in Sonoma. We are piggy backing the event with a Summit Racing ET Series race the same day. Just wanted to see if any of you were into driving your cars. Maybe a little North vs. South kinda thing.

I am very proud to announce that we have nailed down all the final details for our Nor Cal Drag Race day at Sears Point (Infineon Raceway)
We are calling it "Nor Cal Vettes 1st Annual day at the Drags"
Here are all the details:
Entry fee is $25 to race and $15 for crew members.
Gates open at 7:00 AM
Practice starts at 8:00AM
Eliminations start at 1:00 PM.
The track is allowing me to get there early and rope off a huge area so that we can all park next to eachother and have ajoining pits.
We will have 2 classes: Street tire class and a drag radial class.
Women will also have their own class, but it will not be split between drag radial and street tires. (IE: All women will be in 1 class)
All classes will be run as Bracket racing. Dial in will be able to be changed in between rounds as desired.
Convertables can not run faster then 13.49 without a NHRA approved roll bar.
All cars 11.49 and faster will need to have a NHRA approved cage and all required safety equipment.
There will be a $5 per person reaction time pool that will be split 70% / 30% between 1st and 2nd place. it will go to the 2 best reaction times during the 2 or 3 practice runs and through the 1st round of eliminations.
Infineon will provide trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the classes we have.

This is a very inexpensive way to race you car and I would hope that all of you will come out and support the corvette community and make this an event that we can look forward to puttinig on every year. I will keep a running list and try to put this thread to the top once a day to make sure we all have a chance to sign up.
Next year we hope to make this a possible private rental if there is enough of a turnout.
