I JUST MOVED TO SAN DIEGO AND I WAS LOOKING FOR A PLACE THAT HAS A GOOD REPUTATION WHEN IT COMES TO FIXING CORVETTES. AND LIKE SAID I'M NEW, SO CAN YOU POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION OF SOMEONE THATS GOOD WORK?
But pricey and we should support the great vendors that make this forum free
There are a hand full of "good shops" here in So Cal...
IMO, the term "you get what you pay for" is more than a cliche, you can pay a lower price with the "trade off" being that the shop gets to hone his/her craft on YOUR car..... OR, you can pay a little more for a shop with years of experience under their belt!
In San Diego, Excelsior Motorsports clearly is the "top tier" shop, as several in our Corvette and Cobra group can attest to...
Google is your friend...

My car is pretty "crafty" from a supporting vendor and have had great customer service. In the last 4 months I have several mods added and everything was 100% correct the 1st time as many others have experienced with CMS.

Wicked read before you type. We all know that you LOVE CMS and RPM but the thread was looking for a San Diego shop. San Diego local not Riverside County or L.A. County.

As pricey as Kushan is,you would think he could cough up a few bucks to support the site with all the free press and WORK he has recieved from this site that has helped enable him to keep his doors open for his loyals. He is indirectly stealing from other supporting vendors with the constant referrals he has gotten over the years.
I wish the OP success in finding a good shop he likes and treats him well.
^^^^^ To reply to the above comment, I've been down this road before as far as vendor crap and also talked to Kushan about it (being a supporting vendor). 90% of my mods and work is done be me. Kushan is a very good tuner/fabricator/mechanic/driver and friend. I've delt with A&A, ECS, LG, and many more supporting vendors on this more than the avarage person on this site I do support this sites vendors. If I came across as a DICK well my bad but I don't apologize. As for you flynbya2 longtime no see.

A good chunk of CMS customers come from San Diego County. It took me 50 min to go from the 8fwy in San Diego to Bundy Canyon which is the CMS exit the other day. Chino and Ontario to Lake Elsinore is about the same which most people consider local.
Tons of people go from Orange County to RPM,CMS and A&A which is a good amount distance with a bunch of traffic.
CMS,RPM and A&A are all great shops. My personal experience is with CMS and A&A. I've been on this forum for a very long time. I happen to have Andy's supercharger kit on my car and when I called him a 4 months ago he was just as helpful as he was in 2001 when he was just pretty much getting started.
I agree a shop that charges top dollar for Corvette work won't pay for a monthly sponsorship on one of the largest forums on the internet it doesn't make much sense to me.

I support everything everybody said about everybody. You are in the gateway to Corvette Heaven!!!!! This place has no shortage of qualified and outstanding turners and shops. Suggest you come to some of the San Diego GTGs and get to know some of the guys, look at their setups, see what they have to say and make the decision.
Joe,,,where in the hell have you bean mon!!!!!!!!!!!
I assume Big Ed is eating a chicken dinner somewhere in Nevada!!

I agree completely... in fact, he should be a little embarrassed in my opinion. This site does not cost that much and it just strikes me as cheap and petty considering the upside for him.
This site makes me think of the analogy of the bacon and egg breakfast. When it comes to breakfast the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed. For all of us enthusiasts we are just involved. But for all the vendors they are committed.
We should remember that as users when we post good and bad comments. When in comes to sponsoring the site, well, we should all remember that, too. We are tight community here.

, I think it is time for Kushan not the money. He is a one man shop sometimes 2 a couple days a week. He feels he does not have the time represent his company on this site as far tech questions and tuning questions. I'm not making excuses for him this was his answer to me when I asked about a being a forum vendor.

Come on now there is no porblem here just stating my opinion. You got me all wrong here I'm not saying Kushan has the BEST Shop in San Diego with the best prices just pointing him(the thread starter) in the right direction . Thanks for trying to keep me inline
