i am fairly new to the LA area from Pennsylvania. with all the rednecks and racers back there there were several choices when looking for an open 1/4 mile track on the weekends. i have heard of a few 1/8th mile tracks but no "real" strips around here. please PM me if you know of one. thanks!
lacr closed over a year ago . the only other strip in the so cal area and thats a stretch is famoso in bakersfield . but neither of these strips run a regular program the only strip in the state that does is sacramento . dont know why. could be ins or noise issues ??????????? california sucks for drag racing.jmho
yeah.. thats rediculous. i'm a high school teacher too & i try and promote kids racing legally and safely at a track.. but if there aren't any tracks its not like they just wont race.. its gonna be on the streets
once every 2 weeks is regular . to me what lacr had 3 days a week grudge night , tand t fri and a bracket deal on sunday. thats regular or what sac does on a regular basis thats regular. why cant someone run a weekly deal. i know why calif speedwayis the way it is .thats because of the chamber and city officals restricting their dates. but to run6 test and tunes a year which are the only events for street cars regular just not true . i have been to every tand t famoso has had this year and there was a min of 200 cars at each one . have listened to many in the staging lanes wish their was a weekly thing they could go to . until one gives them a place to race everyweek you are going to have rampent street racing in bakersfield . if you give them 1or 2 days a week to go to the drag strip you can start to teach them how much fun drag racing at the strip can be
