I'm sure there are some quality shops in the San Diego area, but if you don't mind traveling to Orange County, European Motor Car Works in Santa Ana does awesome work.
I just used Elite Auto Collision in La Mesa. They are in the paint shop to the old Bob Stall Chevy complex.
The owner is a young guy named Adrian. He has a Z06 he just painted and it looks great.
They fit and painted my Kenne Bell hood and I pick it up today. When I talked with him about the job, he seemed to know his craft. I'll see his actual work product this afternoon.
Might want to give him a yell. I know he's on this forum..
The guy Kushan uses does good work, give him a call, I`m sure he`ll forward you the info..........
Curt at EuroSport did my repair work. He is the one Kushan directed me to and he was with Kushan on the last MVCC?Blockhead run. He's just a few blocks from the Sports Arena. Most of the cars he had in the shop were for restoration. I saw a '68 Porche and a '66 Corvette coupe with a 390HP 427 under the hood.
I don't have his card with me, but I can PM you the contact information later.
BTW, what's wrong with your paint?

I picked the car up this evening and the hood looked great!
They also fixed slight damage to the RR quarter panel/ rear bumper seam area left by the previous owner (who had covered the small chip with touch-up paint). The repair was invisible to me.
Of course, the next time I wash and wax my car I'll be able to get up close and personal with the paint work, but at this time I would not hesitate to recommend them.....
Location: San Diego, CA, Point Loma-Home to the USN & USMC. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.

Glad they did a good job for you and thanks for the referral.
A bit of a haul for you, but good ain't always convenient. I just had my front facia repainted at Hansen's in Cypress - first rate, and they are well familiar with the care and feeding (err, lifting) of vettes.
No one and I mean no one is as good as Airhead customs in corona for corvettes.....Jason at airhead has had numerous cars at Barrett Jackson auctions and many magazine write ups....do yourself a favor and go there...just check it out...you will have him do all your work.
