I believe the only rule is you need a roll bar if you go faster than 12.50 and a helmet always

Other tracks I've been to with much slower convertible cars is a helmet is necessary at all times. Those tracks are NHRA sponsored and are run according to NHRA rules. I'm not sure how Famosa is ran as I've only been there once as a spectator.

I just sent payment for the track rental. At this point, I plan to bring our Solid Axle Vette, but I will bring one of my other Chevies if the Vette is still in pieces on 11/22.

BTW, you may want to cross-link to Team Chevelle ( www.teamchevelle.com ). There are a lot of So Cal racers in the performance forum that might be willing to make the drive.
