Ah yes...80 mph in a 65 mph zone...Quote by officer: "How fast were you going ??" Varmit quote: "I'm told that you are not supposed to admit speed ".....many chuckles....

A written warning was issued....

More pics here...saves my camera battery this way...

The 71 ZR2 War Bonnet yellow (above) went for $325,000..it was one of 12 sold with the ZR2 option at factory....most other 69 vettes went in the $30-$40 K range...

The Fathom Green 68 (above) sold for $180 K...

Link to all vettes sold so far:

Hi Glenn...I did not want to waste a pic...it went for $30,000 today,if you believe that one....

Barrett ended up with $77 million this year and less than $110 million last year...no wonder they are goin to Vegas in October....

I spent the day there on Saturday, lots of Vettes and a couple great custom Camaros from some builder in Denver Colo. It was a really fun day, of course I liked the Shelbys and Boss Mustangs that went for big money as well.

IMO there were some good buys for some 69 vettes that went Wed/Thurs.($30k range)..we were there Friday and I looked at those but did not see anything that stood out as a "good" buy on Friday......but Friday there were three cars that were outstanding customs from Tenn...a 55,56 and 57 chev's...all black and very professionally done..but they went from $135k to $165 K...

Most "hits" were K band...

He got nailed near same area we went through last year in Judy's Corolla S at 85 mph....and we did not have a "ticket" detector"....

I was fooled by the intermitant K band. He must have been using an instant-on gun. I usually ignor K, at least in CA. From now on I only ignor X band. The policeman could tell we were Varmits, and felt sorry for us.

Every Arizona policeman, in the southern half of the state, was on our route. Did someone post our departure time?

Lack of short term memory, what can I say? We were in a vehicle with a 97 mph top speed. I have never been so hassled in my 198 mph vehicle. I guess I just get complacent.

Love those seat warmers when it's 29 degrees outside. Like Casa Grande, Arizona or Pahrump, Nevada.
