Varmit MVCC Palm Springs Run Feb 2

This run is recomended as an optional overnight event. I have a friend who owns a Bar/Restaurant right downtown in Palm Springs on Palm Canyon Dr. He is checking for good rates at a Motel just one block away for us.. Meet here: We will meet at I-15 and Hwy 79 in Temecula at 8:30 AM Saturday February 2nd at the Big Flag (Shell Station ). This accommodates our friends from LA/OC plus is the best jumping off point for this run. We have the option of running up thru Hemet to Idyllwild on hwy 74 down to Palm Springs.......or running hwy 79 east,then up State Route 371 thru Anza,Ca to hwy 74,then down hwy 74 to Palm Springs...(either way,I have a neat pit stop in mind...) I have run both routes many times and both are great... **Departure: Plan to depart at 10 AM sharp...our pit stop will be approx. an hour after departure.*** Arrival: Check-in Motel and have brunch at my Buds place.For those not staying overnight...well..you will miss the PARTY... Edit:Added motel info...... Room reservations in Palm Springs: Motel 6 660 S. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs,Ca 1-760-327-4200...note (Important):press "0" to get front desk...ask for "Corvette Group" reservation...we will get discount after 16 rooms are reserved...(presently,plenty of rooms available for night of Sat Feb 2..) This motel is one block from my friends Bar & restaurant... Fire away folks...Im all Rich

I'm interested. I probably would just meet you guys there, as driving down to North San Diego County doesn't make sense.

If somebody from L.A. wants to go we could start our own caravan.

This could be a good time to get together face-to-face and flesh out some BBQ details if we go ahead with it.
