Who Goes to the Coffee Crew on saturday Morning in Newport beach??
You know the meet at Newport Bluffs Starbucks, just south of Newport Coast Road on PCH.
I went by there Saturday......(cause I feel I have a nice enough car...now).
Anyway, I got there after 7 and of course the Lot was full completly. I was shocked.
I have pics just not hosted anywhere yet. can't attach thumbnails here either.

I hit the donut shop all the time...great get together of some awesome machines. WAY better than Crystal Cove IMO...while the cars down there are nice, a row of brand new cars just doesn't impress like a row of vintage rides

Im with you on this one. The donut is for the REAL car guys and the Cove is for the Winesipper crowd. Most of em' know little to nothing about their cars just what they cost. Go to the Donut Shop if you want to talk cars and not $$$.

I'm at Donut Derelicts almost every weekend. DD's is a lot better than Crystal Cove, IMO. Way more down to earth and people seem to be more friendly.

If you go there be sure to go early. Those folks start around 0500 hrs and are virtually gone by 0900.

If you are referring to the Starbucks at the Crystal Cove Promenade, then I go almost every Saturday.

I'm either at CC or DD every weekend in my chopped 55 or my 06 GTO
I enjoy both shows, I do get tired of the new cars at CC, but checking out the old fiats, triumphs, delahayes etc that show up makes up for it.

The
so cal car culture website has links (and photos) to CC & DD, and more.
Both are fun with good cars and people, the CC receiving more non-USA car participation (Isettas to 350SL Gullwings) and DD for a wider variety (SCTA modified T's, to rat-rods & mid-60's race hemi's, to new Z06's).
The attitude is a little different betwen the two. I was
told to move my mid-year at CC to make uncluttered room for new Ferrari's to line up for a photo, and at DD a guy volunteered to move his Bonneville SSE across the street to leave me a space to park. My reaction to both was to leave, but for the latter I parked across the street and walked back over to get my kids doughnuts (and we had a great time looking at cars passing through the lot).
Can you guess where I continue to visit on the occasional saturday morning? My kids have no problem with the decision.
