any architects/designers here?

i'm moving to l.a. area/ santa monica...where ever around there and looking for some work before i get there. i'm in the architecture field and have experience in design/construction/model building/etc... www.237am.com is my work...... i went through other websites and pratically all the firms i talked to really don't want to give me the time of day until i get in cali....... so if anyone has friends in the field that can set me up with some work that would be appreciated......

i might have to sell the 77 in order to make the move to cali if i can't line anything up....

I'm a GC hdqd in Oxnard. Work mostly in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Don't have any design positions, but could refer you to some AIAs in this area. It would be an 45 minute to an hour drive north of Santa Monica. Good Luck!
