Default Targa Top refurbisher

Does anyone know a targa top refurbisher in LA/OC area? My acrylic is basically good it is just that the seal on the driver side between the glass and frame is coming undone. I can actually lift the glass of the frame enough to stick my fingers thru inj the driver rear corner.

Thanks

joe

I don't know if this applies to your situation, but Chevrolet is having a "voluntary customer satisfaction program" (recall) on 2005 Vettes with the painted roof panel.

It says in part, "... the painted roof panel may separate from its frame in some areas if it is exposed to stresses along with high temperature and humidity. ... Symptoms: snapping noise when driving over bumps, wind noise, poor roof panel fit, roof panel movement/bounce when a door is closed, water leak.
What we will do: ... your Chevrolet dealer will apply adhesive foam to ensure proper adhesion. ... In a small number of vehicles, the roof panel may require replacement. ... at no charge."

You might call Chevrolet Customer Assistance at 1-800-630-2438 to see if this voluntary recall can be applied to your car and if they can fix it for free. Who knows, it sounds like this may be a known problem with a known fix and, if so, the factory could just make it a "Goodwill" warranty repair for you.

If you are looking for a dealer to do the work, I'd trust my car with Cormier. They have enthusiastic Corvette people there.
