I went to the local "cruise" on Friday night. I parked next to other C5Z06 Corvettes. Mine was the only C6Z. I couldn't believe all the people that this car attracts! It was like sperm trying to get into an egg! (Remember those old films?!) I did post my dyno pull on the window,for all to see. I just can't believe all the people gawking last night. I was parked next to some NICE Corvettes too. My first time @ one of these things.Oddest thing I discovered is you can't tell by the age of the person looking at the car,whether they are an "over-the-top" enthusiast or not! Kinda fun,might do it again this Friday...
Never ever sat in a Corvette 3 months ago,now I have had this car for 2 months. I think the bug has bit me! Fun times last night!

Actually, Dennis you are correct, only pre-74 cars are supposed to be parked on Grand. We park in a parking lot AFTER 6 P.M. I won't tell if you won't.
Oh hell,look at them chicken legs! LOL! Thanks for the pic,John! (Looks like I gotta lose 40 lbs!) Only had 1 guy gave us grief for not being "pre 74" (but he was a FORD guy) so he doesn't matter!

Too bad the city doesn't have power or I'd bring a TV/VCR & loop my dyno run video and turn up the volume real loud!

hey-how is't going?-i'm the guy with the silver 01 Z, saw ya last week, i usually try to park by the bank on maple and grand-been doing the fri night for yrs..and so what on the pre-74-we took a little "heat' when i parked next to you a few weeks back-but who cares..most people love seen' vettes..and i don't park on grand all the time-

Last Fri. I parked @ Escondido Ave & Grand. That was as close as I could get. I gotta get there by 1pm if I want an "under the trees" spot! The DSOM is running well. Have about 3,000 troublefree miles now. (Helps to keep it stock!) FOUND REJEX FINALLY! Nice stuff. Don't know about this Friday yet.
Funniest thing is people STILL telling me that there is a "500HP Corvette" out there somewhere! I just chuckle...
Also,I found an "all wheel drive" dyno in Oceanside. Good for up to 800ft.lbs of TQ.
Last time I went I got there around 5:30 and got a good parking spot at the bank. Yeah if you wanna get a spot on the street on Grand Ave you gotta get there early.
One of my buddies that goes there, his mom has a shop on Grand Ave so sometime we will all park in front of her shop
I wont be there today.. but you can often see me there with some other friends... look for my car - or an immaculate White 1969 BB Nova, thats a friends car, I dont drive up from San Diego unless he's going.
BTW, myt car isnt pre-74 either.. but most people cant tell it from a 69...go figure
Hey Norty, it depends on what time I get out of the office and how traffic is moving heading North.
Ben just got his Ramona Rocket back from A & A yesterday and it's putting out over 600 + HP, if he comes down the hill to cruise Grand I will most likely show up, I want to check his new blower out. I will give Dennis a call to see if he want to make it.
