Default SCMR XXII it`s on Sun May 7th

Fyi- my attempt to edit/revise the previous thread "title" with the now "set date" failed......so sorry about the repeat/new thread!

By majority vote, we`re on! Sun May 7th! Sorry R.J.!!!

Meeting place: I-15 & Hwy 76 in the park & ride next to the gas station, behind Nellie Burger.

Time: 7:15-7:30.........we need to roll by 7:45, 8:00 at the latest!

Proposed route: take the canyons East, end up taking the back side down into Palm Desert, just East of Palm Springs...I`ll bring maps!

Lunch: I`m looking at either Applebee`s or TGIF Friday`s, but I still need to confirm seating/parking, etc....will advise.

Ok everyone, I need to re-confirm the head count with Tony Roma`s on Monday 5-1 , if you don`t see your forum name on the list below and you want to attend, please chime in so I can include you (and your passenger) in on the head count for the run/lunch.

By my count that`s 24-26 cars (Vinny had 2 additional) and aprox 30 people so far. If you`re taking a passanger and you didn`t see a number next to your name above, please advise so that everyone is included for lunch.

Cheers, Rag-top Rick

The 7th. Oh well, can't be in two places at the same time... have to settle for the pictures this time.... Hey, How about another "run" on the 21st. ? I'll spot you the practice run of the 7th. And ,as a few of you know, if you include the Cobras the Vette people will need a "run" with a little sprit..... ENJOY....!!!

I tried to reply to the original thread (twice), but the posts never showed up even though the forum had me down as a poster. Strange.

I'll be there. It is the 22nd running. The Cobras are welcome, but we'll have to wait for them at the overlook.
(The fact is, the Cobra guys just aren't interested in pushing as hard as the Corvette guys...that's not good, that's not bad, it just IS.)

Sounds fairly rational. Last time I checked, them Cobra things didn't have no air bags, side impact bars, crush zones, or other modernistical safety stuff....

You all have fun, and keep it safe out there..

Sounds like fun to me! Will we be running Palomar? (I'm a member of "The Palomar Mtn. MAFIA.") If so,then I'll pass the word @ SCS,SBW & SoCal that the cars will be running.

Dennis, Rog....please do give the Cobra guys a "heads-up" it sure would be nice to see those guys join us!

Vinny.... where are you??? let`s hear from you..... after all, you did start this thread way back when!

Rag-top Rick

UPDATE: I booked us for lunch (around 11:30-12:00 for 20-30 people) at Tony Roma`s in Palm Desert!

I`ll need to have a rough head count about a week from now so I can pass it along to Tony Roma`s.

Sounds like fun. I'd love to join it also. Counts me (Paul) and my son Steven in so far. I'll work on getting other Factory Five Cobra's to attend and Hank Steckel is working on the Backdraft Cobra's. Just for a point of reference, in February the FFR gang had 24 cars in total. We went to TGI Fridays and they were great, individual checks, separate area in the restaurant to seat about 50 people, walked right in & sat down, and great parking. It is also right off the road that comes down off the mountain. If TR's falls through give them a call.
