Default Shop recommendation for header install

Do you guys know where I should get Kooks headers installed on my C5? Top Flight wants $600 (too much!) to do it, and my favorite shop in the LA area wants a couple hundred less, but they're 3 hours away. I'd really like a shop in or close to San Diego, and $400 or less. Or....should I take my 3 hour drive up to A&A, and get a tunnel plate with their top notch service?

You may as well get it tuned also to take full advantage of the headers. Make the trip north to Oxnard .

I agree with jmzvet. Take advantage of Charly's Laptop and make those headers scream.

I would try Larry Hofer at the Corvette Shop in San Diego. 4645 Ruffner, suite I, San Diego 92111, 858-277-8388. Larry has a vast experience on Corvettes. Tell him Steve sent you.
Good Luck

The best place in the entire state for any aftermarket work is LAPD (Los Angeles Performance Division) in Chatsworth. They ONLY work on C5's And C'6's. I had Kooks put on my 05 Vert, and am picking up my 06 Z from them this afternoon. (Kooks and Dyno tuning). Everyone that I know that has taken their Vette to LAPD say the same thing: the best service and the most knowledgable folks in the business. They build their own cams, can do blowers, turbos, ...anything dealing with performance...air boxes, wheels, tires, suspensions...anything. Check them out at www.THELAPD.com. Call and talk to Shawn or Al. (Al has forgotten more about Vettes than most folks will ever know!) Check them out. You will thank me!!!
