Default 92 Corvette looking for a nice 'Corvette only' shop : )

Hello!

I've been overseas for a little bit, and I just
finished off my service in the army altogether-so now
it's time to come back home (vacaville): ) My corvette
has sat for quite a bit, though-and some things are a
little rough on it. I am looking for the best place to
get it serviced, and get a ballpark gifure on how much
it will run me. It's a supercharged (ATI procharger)
92 w/ fx3 suspension on it-33k miles. what places do
you reccomend? I need the following done

o- the underside is pretty dirty-cleaning and painting
needed. I've done what I can with a hose and getting under there-but I have no lift
o- complete fluid change all the way around-some of
the belts might be rough, too. This is more of a preference thing-I want to spoil her : )
o- ASR light comes on at random sometimes-turning the
car off then on again makes the light go away
o- I had to re-wrok some things to get it to pass
smog, (jerry rig a vacuum setup) and the brakes aren't
nearly as strong as they sometimes-(i.e. let it sit
for a weak, and the brakes are really really weak, car
warms up and goes around the block they get better-I
want it back to where it used to be)
o- I am looking at a greenwood aero (ground effects)
kit that I want finished and paint matched to the car
o0thinking abotu getting a cowl induction style hood (still scouting who does the best work on those-any suggestions?
o- the little 'buttons' that the door presses when
they close are stuck-so I need new driver/passenger
side. Don't need them installed, but as least need the
parts
o-suggestion on where to get the car detailed

So, for a guestimate on $$, how much do you gys think
it's gonna hurt me? I'm trying to plan right now on
getting that fixed, and still have money left over to
move back to California from FT Hood. I hate to be a
pain as ask all of these qeustions, but I've got my
hands full moving and such, and generally I've done
most of the work myself on this car-I just don't have
the time to finish it: )
Please let me know when you can!

Just FYI, never done any real work on my own so can't comment on that part. I have talked to Corvette Express in Vacaville when I was setting my C5 up for doing track, they seemed knowledgeable and had all vintage cars in the shop, about 5 bays if I remember right. I finally had the work done at Motor Sports Image in Roseville since Mark is a current track guy with a C5 and was current on my car.

As to parts, you found the Forum so I'm guessing you will find the vendors, and I've found http://www.mamotorworks.com/
to have most of what is needed by each vintage.

Good Luck,
Randy

Thanks ; ) I've talked with Corvette express before-but those guys are shady sometimes. The lady who owned my 82 before I did took it in for a bunch of work (one of the things being inop radio antenna)-she told them she only wanted original parts-which they didn't do-and the damn thing failed about 4 months after the install. There were other things, but I didn't come here to bitch ; ) I am going to check out motorsports image, though Thanks!
