Thanks Dennis That's all very good information....It's starting to look like this might happen after all.
And I have been looking for an excuse to change my Edelbrock 750 to a BG Speed Demon

I have another friend who isn't on the forum, but, through me, had his carb rebuilt by Lars. He has also said he's interested.
I also received an email from Lars saying that he'd be happy to come and has penciled us in for June/July of '06.

Excellent! I'll start making plans. His travel & lodging costs aside, he'll want a mechanical bio on our cars. Is there a format to follow for all of us that he prefers?

Yes, he likes an Excel spreadsheet, but I need to get the format from him. I'll email him and update the thread when I get it.

I would be interested in participating in this. I would be coming down from Seattle and dropping my wife in downtown Portland so she coud do some tax-free damage at Nordstrom.
I read above that he doesn't tune Edelbrock carbs. I assume this doesn't mean Edelbrock Q Jets? I have one on my '71.

Default Tuning with Lars

I notice that Lars likes working on Q Jets, Holleys and BG's but what about about the the good old Carter AFB. Any idea if it would be an issue?

If they're a Rochester copy, I don't see why he wouldn't work on them, but I'll ask.
I'll also ask about the Carter AFB.

I got an answer from Lars about the carburetors. He does not tune Carter AFBs, so he won't have any parts for them, but he will still work on the car.
He will tune Edelbrock Quadrajets.

I have a sample Excel spreadsheet that shows the information Lars would like to have well in advance (in fact he said he'd like it asap) of his visit. He needs to make sure he has all of the right parts available. PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you. I'm going to try and get a screen shot and post it.

Ok there is a new version of the specifications spreadsheet available.
E-mail me or dennis to get a copy of it. Everyone who is up for july or august Tuning for Beer needs to get on the list so we can get it to Lars.
There are limited spots available (~6 left) so sign up now and don't miss out on a great chance to get your car tuned by the master.

So far, I have info from Carl Granquist, oregonsharkman and myself. We also need some "standby cars" in case someone's situation changes, or doesn't show. Post it or mail it.

I'm still in even though I have a Carter AFB. It sounds fun and educational. I have a stock '64 327 300hp hydraulic cam, 4 speed.

Default Sign me up

Would love to be there. Sounds like a blast, gives me an excuse for a road trip. I have a place in Redmond (East side of Seattle) with a big driveway and space enough if anyone wants to split it up? Would be happy to put up Lars.

Cheers

I had said I was interested and even offered up my place several times in one of the Lars Oregon/Washington threads.

My car won't be ready though (out of body/paint/interior shops) until about late November. What is the timeframe?
