Default San Diego 1/8th mile drags. Not too shabby...

Stopped by tonight, at Qualcomm. Place was pretty packed. They were running 4 lanes total, sometimes even staging up all 4 cars at the same time.

All heads up racing, so the line moved quick. 6pm to midnight, and it thinned out by the end of the night, so they were getting a whole bunch of runs in.

Was nice to see some of the old school guys show the riceboys what a real car is made of.

No traction though. And most of the drivers in the street cars were terrible. Next time I'll bring the Vette. These guys think a 9 second pass is fast.

There was one there, it was a monster! He went up against another built Camaro a few times, those were the best races of the night.

No, I didn't race the truck, they make everyone wear a helmet, but honestly, that was the only thing stopping me. I could probably edge out more than a few of the semi-stock imports out there. These Fords are geared well for takeoff, but the Nissans and Dodge's beat em out by the end of the 1/4 by about 1 second.

Go to racelegal.com for the schedule. The events were scheduled on a "Carlsbad basis" for awhile, meaning, there was no money, but it looks like they're back in business for the long haul.
