Default Body Shop In Torrance, Ca. Area?

Got front end taken off of my '04 Coupe this morning by a hit and run driver who ran a red light. Need a good body shop in the Torrance, Ca. area that knows how to repair this correctly. Have good insurance (USAA) that will take care of things (less my deductable). Was transferred here from out of state last year so need some good recommendations. Do not really want to drive to the other side of the LA area if I can help it.

I can recommend a shop in the Northridge area if you are interested. The owner is a vette guy. In fact he just got his new 05 Silver Vert.

hi, fellow Torranceite(?)!

Sorry to hear your car was hit... A couple of other shops in the area, McJacks in Santa Ana and J&D in Bellflower.

I've used Bravo Auto Collision (Del Amo Blvd) with good results, including replacement/paint of my front facia just last month.

Sorry to hear that. I had my 2002 Jeep done at Prestige Too Auto Body, 530 Alaska Ave, Torrance over by the Edlebrock Corp. It looked like showroom when they finished.

A-1 Quality Auto Body, 396 E Compton Blvd., Gardena (310)358-3913

They specialize in Vettes. They're the body shop used by several Corvette restoration shops in the South Bay area.

They did the crash repair work on my '87, when I tailgated someone in '92. They had to straighten the frame. The finished results drove and looked as good as new.

Then I had them strip and repaint my '70 in '96. When I sold it in Dec. '03, I was still getting compliments on the fine paint job.

Their prices are reasonable, too.

The sign in front of their building is pretty small, and their advertising budget is even smaller. However, they can barely keep up with all the business they're getting. Their business prosperity is almost entirely based on the word of mouth recommendations from their satisfied customers. I'm one of them.

Bob

Have you found a body shop yet? I haven't used them but "The Fiberglass Body" in Hawthorne (4527 W. Rosecrans, 310-322-8745) always seems to have several Corvettes in their shop.

I've had a ton of paint work done at Prestige Coach craft in Marina Del Rey. I too have USAA and Prestige has a great relationship with USAA. You have to at least talk to them and tell them Joel sent you.
