Wow! That's a pretty long route. Let me look at the timing of it. If we do that we'll have to find somewhere to eat along the way. As I was laying out the plan we would do a late lunch in Clemson or Anderson. Whatever everyone votes for is okay with me though.

Sounds like a great time - I will see if I can drum up any interest here in the Augusta area.

I think I may have found a good compromise route which takes us up 215 to about where the Blue Ridge Parkway crosses. We then turn left and go down what appears to be a nice windy road over to 281. We then take 281 back down and it turns into 130 at the NC/SC border. We still make the stop at Whitewater Falls and a late lunch (probably around 2 PM) in Clemson. This should have you back in CLT by 6 PM after an hour for lunch. From Clemson everyone can head on their way either north or south on I-85. Still an option for Hooters too if anyone wants to go. It's right on the way to I-85 at exit 19.

Only bad thing, I may not even make it now. Might have to be in Miami until Saturday morning. If this happens we can either bump to Sunday or you guys can do the trip on your own. I hope this doesn't happen and I can get out Friday night.

Won't be long now!! Still looks iffy for me but I found out that I now have 2 shots at getting back late Friday night. Should be able to make it as long as we don't have a huge weather event on the east coast. Look forward to seeing everyone again this weekend!

Bill, hope you can make it.

For those coming from Charlotte how about we meet up at the Flying J truckstop at the Blacksburg exit Off I85. That will save Strick from having to back track. Leave there at 8:15 and head to Corvette Only in Greenville.

I wish I could be there, unfortunately I have to work and will not be able to attend. Sounds like it would be a blast, maybe the next run I can make it. Have a good time!

Is this run open for all? I've been up and down those roads on my bike a hundred times, but haven't had a chance to take the 'vette. I would agree with 215 up to the Parkway, nice and twisty. The road surface isn't the smoothest, but it is still great.

Open to everyone, just meet at Corvette Only on 123 at 9:45 AM and we will leave at 10. Glad to have you come along. You're right about the road surface on 215 but it's better than it used to be!!

Wish i could make it up this time but me and my wife just had our second child on sunday so i am stuck at home being a daddy again

This waterfall you are planning to pass, is there a place where you can park your vette in front of it and take a pic?

any chance of a fall cruise when the leaves are turning colors?

Sorry to hear that. I'll miss the sound of your Magna Charger as you go blasting by me.

Have we got an idea of who is going? How many?

Congrats on the baby

Not sure about how much space there is to park in front of the waterfall for a photo op,will let you know if we don't get rained out.

We have started doing these mtn cruises about once a month so there is a good chance we will be there when the leaves change colors.

There is a large parking lot near the falls but you have to get out and walk maybe a half mile to view it. There is a waterfall in the general area called "Bridal Veil Falls" that you can actually drive behind but I don't think our route takes us by it. If I can remember exactly where it is maybe we can do it one day. It makes for a great photo op. Less than 24 hrs to go!!

I'll make up my mind early in the morning. I want to give the weather a chance not to be here by the afternoon. I'll post my decission in the AM.

Now the weather is calling for T-storms in the morning. with wide spread storms all afternoon.
