(RCG) Day trip to the mountains saturday June 19th
The roads we will be taking are very twisty and do not have a lot of traffic. Bring your vette, full tank of gas and an atm card (we will not be stopping in Transylvania). Passengers should bring dramamine and a blind-fold.
We will meet at the Cracker Barrel parking lot at New Hope Rd. in Gastonia at 8:00am. Get there at 7:15 if you want to eat.
We will take I85s to exit 44 White Horse Rd.
White Horse rd to Hwy 123 If there any Greenville area people that want to join us we could meet you at Corvette Only around 9:15.
Hwy 123 to hwy 178
Hwy 178 to Hwy 64 in Rosman otherwise known as the no atm zone
Hwy 64 to hwy 215
Hwy 215 to Hwy 276 just outside of Waynesville. Stop at Preachers Hair Pin to find his blackouts and make a cross out of them and nail it to a tree .
Hwy 276 to Hwy 11 stop in Brevard for lunch at the Sagebrush.
Hwy 11 to I85 in Gaffney.
You should be back in Charlotte around 5:00pm.
There are several places along the way we will stop for breaks and photo ops.
Strick wants to video tape the cars coming down the "split s" in Caesars Head State Park. That turn alone is worth the drive out there.

I've already planned on being in this, as the offical video man. BTW, the chili at the Sagebrush is pretty good, just bring your own "fire. " I bet Dilligas will be there, too. He's in FLA right now. How about some more C4s coming out, I'm going to get left in the dust with all these Z06s and blown C5s. I know, obey the posted speed limits, but these guys get to them in a half a heartbeat. For those who want to join us, we'll post our channel, and maybe a cell # if needed. If Nitro-C5 is with us, you'll hear us coming.

Hi Chris, these runs are just awesome. Hope you do make it. How about the june meeting? Think you'll make it? Can't wait to see your handywork.
Yes, I plan to be to the meeting too. Weekend meetings work out a lot better for me. Car's running fine with almost a thousand miles on it already. Too bad Stainless Works hasn't worked out the A/T fitment problem yet, they sure looked great on there. It's holding me up getting dyno-tuned too. It's running well though, just can't wait till it's 100%! Oh, that deal finally came thru on my D44 change over, you won't believe what I got it for.

I'm back from Florida and should be ready for this one, after listening to those Goodyear runflats roar for 1500 miles I think new tires are in my future, hopefully before this run.

Like they say, just keep a cell phone in your Vette. Who needs a spare?! Glad to hear you're going to make the run. It's a blast.

Wish I could make this. I didn't even see it until after I posted one for July 17th. Unfortunately (or maybe not) I'll be at Roebling Road in Savannah on the 19th and 20th tearing a little rubber off my new race tires! Hope some of you have so much fun that you have to come back in July and do another variation. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=827484

Sounds like a blast! I'll start saving gas money now, lol. Luckily the car is up to 17.8 mpg. now which is the best the car has shown since I've had her! I really wanna get out there with you guys this time!
